Shaker Village, Canterbury, NH
At the time I engraved this scene of buildings at the Canterbury Shaker Village in the late 1970's, there were still Shaker Sisters living there. As a tribute, I placed an image of an elderly woman walking along the path in the center of the engraving. It is a wonderful place to visit to see the legacy of the Shaker religious sect, and the work buildings, residences, and meeting house are remarkable. There are guided tours and a gift shop.
